Stops included the dramatic black-sand beaches and rock formations around Vík, then the breathtaking Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon where huge icebergs drifted by, and Diamond Beach where ice fragments wash ashore like gems. The guide gave useful safety tips and pointed out photo spots so we had plenty of time to explore each site. “Know that it is going to be a LONG DAY on a bus with ~40 other people, but it is still the easiest way to get out to Diamond Beach, etc. which are beautiful. Just be aware that this is really booking transportation to different points of interest/photo stops and not so much a "tour" with insights/history/etc. When you get to Vik in the evening, 100% recommend going to Black Crust Pizza (a 1 min walk from where the bus stops) instead of the buffet the rest of the group goes to. Bring lots of snacks/drinks & headphones/book/etc. for the long stints on the bus.”

“It was a lovely experience, I think I would have liked a bit more time on the diamond beach. It was a long day and felt a bit rushed at times but it doesn't reflect on my 5 star. “Yes it was a long day however to see the natural beauty and wonder of Iceland you need to drive away from Reykjavik. Don’t regret it one bit . Once in a lifetime sights .
