“I honestly can't remember the guides name but he was about 6ft3 shaved head, with glasses. He was amazing and the food was brilliant, I think if we did not have the guide with his knowledge and warmth of character and just how funny he was it would of put a bit of a dampener on the tour but credit to him he was amazing so hopefully he knows that. I also don't think the fermented shark is too bad 😂 Thankyou for the experience”

He was informative, funny and full of character. The tour was amended slightly due to the winds but Dave always did everything he could to please the guests. The tour itself was amazing, with stunning views, disgusting smells, you get to see real steaming lava! It was just excellent from start to finish.”

“I never do reviews but feel like I have to with this one. Patrick was absolutely brilliant. Funny, in a self-depricating sarcastic manner that was equal measure of being highly knowledgeable and flippin' hilarious. Made us forget about the cold (this trip is COLD!!) with his engaging wit and general positivity. He knew more about whales than the average Joe, with enlightening facts like "did you know that whales are REALLY big?", whilst keeping the crowd waiting for the next surface. Would thoroughly recommend. Time passed a little slowly until Mr and Mrs Humpback made an appearance, then it was a hoot. Book it. It's expensive, but a great laugh,…”

The guide and ship captain were both very knowledgeable about puffins and bird life in general. We were aware ahead of time that we would not get super close to the puffins, so this tour provided the experience we expected. (Those tours cost much much more!)”

Guided Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach Day Trip from Reykjavik

Guided Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach Day Trip from Reykjavik - Your Day Starts Early From Reykjavik, Then the Bus Becomes Part of the Experience

15.Guided Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach Day Trip from Reykjavik

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 436 reviews · 14 hours 30 minutes (approx.) · from $171

A long, guided day from Reykjavik to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach, with waterfalls, a Vik dinner stop, and an aurora chance.

“Know that it is going to be a LONG DAY on a bus with ~40 other people, but it is still the easiest way to get out to Diamond Beach, etc. which are beautiful. Just be aware that this is really booking transportation to different points of interest/photo stops and not so much a "tour" with insights/history/etc. When you get to Vik in the evening, 100% recommend going to Black Crust Pizza (a 1 min walk from where the bus stops) instead of the buffet the rest of the group goes to. Bring lots of snacks/drinks & headphones/book/etc. for the long stints on the bus.”
