“We loved our Puffin Boat Tour. It was very easy even for our 5 year old to see the puffins on the island and fly overhead. We were lucky that the weather cooperated during our trip. It was very hard to hear the guide with the wind and boat engine sounds. I think the boat could use a better sound system. The boat had ample binoculars to use during the trip. “Got to see lots and lots of puffins right outside Reykjavik. We got reasonably close to their nesting island, Akurey, after a short boat ride. The guide and ship captain were both very knowledgeable about puffins and bird life in general. We were aware ahead of time that we would not get super close to the puffins, so this tour provided the experience we expected. (Those tours cost much much more!)”

“This 2 stage tour was very good value. Our particular tour started with the Puffin trip from Rekjavik harbour out to a nearby island which was about 15 min away. The tour guide was excellent & knowledgeable. The trip was pretty gentle and lasted 1 hour, returning to the harbour for a transfer to a bigger vessel for the Whale experience. The journey out to the Whale area took about 1 hour and in our case the sea became quite choppy resulting in quite a few people experiencing sea sickness before the vessel slowed down to catch a glimpse of the Whales. “Fun rib boat ride out into Reykjavik harbour to Lundey Island puffin colony. There were hundreds of birds there, flying around, on the water feeding and on the cliffs roosting or nesting. We got a good close up view being on the small boat and if your photos don’t turn out, the guide also takes photos and will send them to you.”
