“This 2 stage tour was very good value. Our particular tour started with the Puffin trip from Rekjavik harbour out to a nearby island which was about 15 min away. The tour guide was excellent & knowledgeable. The trip was pretty gentle and lasted 1 hour, returning to the harbour for a transfer to a bigger vessel for the Whale experience. The journey out to the Whale area took about 1 hour and in our case the sea became quite choppy resulting in quite a few people experiencing sea sickness before the vessel slowed down to catch a glimpse of the Whales. He was so passionate and knowledgeable about all the local wildlife, pointing out different species of rare birds, getting us to the whales quickly and telling us a lot of facts. He made the experience so exciting and you could just tell he absolutely loves his job. We managed to see 5 humpback whales, including a mum and baby which is very rare to see! And I saw a pod of white beaked dolphins but no one else spotted them as we were going too quick! It was such a brilliant experience…”
